Insurance and paymentAbout this panel
The Infection Panel brings together three basic tests that doctors often request for complaints such as fever, fatigue or a sore throat. The complete blood count shows the number and distribution of white blood cells; CRP and the sedimentation rate show the body's inflammatory response.
These tests alone do not identify the type or location of an infection; your doctor assesses the results together with your symptoms and examination findings. In an emergency such as a high fever, shortness of breath or confusion, call 112 without waiting.
