Insurance and paymentAbout this panel
Genetic tests help investigate predisposition to inherited diseases, carrier status and the genetic causes of certain diseases. The Genetic Test Panel brings together chromosome analysis (karyotype), the thrombophilia genetic panel, BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene analyses, FMF (MEFV), cystic fibrosis (CFTR), beta thalassemia (HBB) and SMA (SMN1) analyses, and the celiac HLA-DQ2/DQ8 and HLA-B27 tests.
These tests are not all run together. Based on your personal and family history, the test or tests you need are selected on a doctor's recommendation and in line with genetic counseling. Genetic tests are performed with informed consent; your blood sample is collected by our nurse at your home or workplace and analyzed at an accredited laboratory.
Because the fee varies depending on the tests selected, price information is provided when you contact us. It is recommended that you review your results with your doctor and, if needed, a medical geneticist.
