Insurance and paymentAbout this panel
Tumor markers are blood tests that doctors order when monitoring certain diseases. This panel includes AFP, CA 125, CA 15-3, CA 19-9 and CEA, along with a fecal occult blood test.
Tumor markers alone do not diagnose or rule out cancer; levels can also rise because of inflammation, benign conditions and other causes. For this reason, the panel should not be done for screening, but on a doctor's recommendation and for follow-up purposes. Always review your results with your doctor.
