Who is it for?
People with a family history of heart disease or with cardiovascular risk factors
Preparation
Some tests in this panel require 8–12 hours of fasting; your sample is collected in the morning on an empty stomach and you may drink only water. Ask your doctor about any medication you take regularly.
Preparing for your testInsurance
We work with private health insurers. We obtain the pre-approval for this panel and collect your sample once it is approved.
Insurance and paymentAbout this panel
The Cardiovascular Risk Panel brings together tests that help assess risk factors related to cardiovascular health. Total, HDL and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, apolipoprotein B (Apo B), lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)], homocysteine and high-sensitivity CRP are tested together.
The panel also includes CK, CK-MB and troponin T, PT (INR), aPTT, fibrinogen and D-dimer, fasting blood sugar and insulin, liver and kidney function, magnesium, free T4, TSH and a complete blood count. This panel is not for emergencies: if you have chest pain or shortness of breath, call 112. It is recommended that you review your results with your doctor.
