Once your samples have been taken, they are sent to our partner laboratory; your results are shared with you digitally as soon as possible. The time depends on the type of test requested.

Blood Draw at Home

View the service
Whether you need to fast may vary depending on the type of test. Tests such as blood sugar (glucose), cholesterol and the lipid panel usually require 8-12 hours of fasting. When you book your appointment, our team will tell you in detail whether you need to fast, based on the tests on your prescription.
At Curavita, we attach the utmost importance to sample safety. After barcoding, the blood samples are placed in cold-chain (temperature-controlled) transport bags. Our mobile teams make sure the samples reach our accredited laboratory as soon as possible without their biochemical integrity being compromised.
When your report is ready, it is sent to you by email or message as soon as possible; the time depends on the type of tests ordered. If you wish, we can also send a digital copy to the doctor who is following your care.
For the vast majority of routine tests, the blood sample can be taken at home; these include the complete blood count, biochemistry, vitamin and hormone tests, coagulation tests and check-up panels. For some tests that must be collected under special conditions or delivered to the laboratory very quickly, suitability is checked before the appointment.
Yes. We provide the service every day of the week, including weekends. For tests that require fasting, appointments can be scheduled early in the morning; we agree on a convenient time with you when you book.
Yes, we work with private health insurance. We obtain the pre-approval for your blood tests from your insurance company; once it is approved, we draw your blood, and no co-payment is charged. If any tests are not covered by your policy, we will tell you the fee before the sample is taken.
Yes. In addition to your home, our team also comes to your office, your workplace or the hotel where you are staying in Istanbul. Simply state the address and a time that suits you on the request form; the service is provided under the same hygiene and safety rules at every address.

Urine Test at Home

View the service
In most cases, you give the sample yourself. Our nurse brings the sterile sample container, explains how to give the sample, collects and labels it and delivers it to the laboratory via the cold chain. For patients who cannot use the bathroom unaided or who use a catheter, our nurse helps collect the sample; for patients with a catheter, the sample is taken with sterile technique from the catheter's sampling port.
Unless your doctor has given different instructions, the first urine of the morning is preferred. In urine that has been left standing, cells can break down and bacteria can multiply; that is why the visit time is planned so that the sample is collected fresh. We agree on the most convenient time with you when you book.
Antibiotic use can affect the culture result, so whenever possible the culture sample is taken before treatment starts. If you are already taking the medication, be sure to tell your doctor and our team. Only your doctor can decide whether to stop the medication or postpone the test.
Menstrual blood can mix with the urine sample and affect the result. If your doctor has not asked for the test urgently, it is recommended to give the sample after your period has ended. If the request is urgent, just mention it when you book; our team will plan according to your doctor's instructions.
The collection container is dropped off at your address in advance. On the morning you start, the first urine goes into the toilet and the time is noted; from then until the same time the next morning, all urine passed is collected in the container. The container is kept in a cool place or in the refrigerator, according to the laboratory's instructions; do not empty the container, as a preservative may have been added for some tests. When the period is over, our team picks up the container.
Your results are sent to you digitally. A complete urinalysis usually gives results within a short time; for a urine culture, however, the result may take a few days because the laboratory has to wait for bacteria to grow. If you wish, you can go over your results with your own doctor or through our Doctor at Home service.
Yes, we work with private health insurance. We obtain the pre-approval for your urine test from your insurance company; once it is approved, we collect your sample, and no co-payment is charged.

IV Drip at Home

View the service
Yes. For patient safety, IV drips and medications are administered with a physician's prescription; our teams do not carry out medical procedures without a prescription. If you do not have a prescription, we can first arrange a doctor home visit.
Our IV drips at home are administered by our professional nurses, who are experienced in their field, skilled at placing IV lines and licensed by the Ministry of Health. Our staff fully comply with medical standards and sterilization rules throughout the procedure.
The duration varies depending on the volume of the IV fluid and the absorption rate of the medications it contains, but it is usually between 45 and 90 minutes. Our nurse stays with the patient and continues monitoring until the medication has fully run in and the IV line has been safely closed off.
Before the treatment, our nurses ask about the patient's allergy history in detail. During the procedure, vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and breathing are monitored regularly. In the event of any unexpected reaction, our nurse is fully equipped to apply the necessary emergency response protocols and to inform the relevant doctor.
No. The IV set, the IV cannula for the line, medical tape, antiseptic and other medical consumables are brought by Curavita. All you need to do is buy the medications your doctor has prescribed from the pharmacy and have them ready by the time of the treatment.
Yes. In addition to your home, our team also comes to your office, your workplace or the hotel where you are staying in Istanbul. Simply state the address and a time that suits you on the request form; the service is provided under the same hygiene and safety rules at every address.

Injections at Home

View the service
The fee for injections at home depends on the type of injection (IM, IV, SC), how many days the treatment lasts and your address. For longer treatments (for example, 5- or 10-day courses), the treatment calendar is planned together with you. Contact us with your prescription for more information; our team clearly explains the scope of the service and the fee before the treatment begins.
Yes, receiving injections at home is completely legal. However, for this service to be legal and safe, two basic conditions must be met: Prescription requirement – the medication must have been prescribed by a doctor. Authorized staff – the person performing the procedure must be a nurse or health officer licensed by the Ministry of Health, and the service must be provided by a licensed home-care provider (such as Curavita). Procedures carried out by unauthorized people are both illegal and pose a serious risk to life.
Injections are given with a physician's prescription. Have your prescription or e-prescription details and the medication you bought from the pharmacy ready; if the medication needs to be refrigerated, keep it in its box in the refrigerator until the time of the injection. For treatments given as a course, we plan the injection calendar together according to the prescription.
Yes, injections can be given safely at home when the necessary sterilization and hygiene conditions are in place. It is the most practical solution, especially for elderly people who find it hard to get to a hospital, bedridden patients or people who cannot find the time because of a busy work schedule. Our experienced nurses bring all the safety protocols applied in hospitals into the home and carry out the procedure professionally.
Yes. In addition to your home, our team also comes to your office, your workplace or the hotel where you are staying in Istanbul. Simply state the address and a time that suits you on the request form; the service is provided under the same hygiene and safety rules at every address.

Dietitian at Home

In an online session, measurements mostly rely on what the person reports. With the dietitian at home service, our expert takes the measurements on site and, by seeing your kitchen and daily routine, prepares a nutrition plan you can actually follow.
At Curavita, as part of our dietitian at home service and on request, we take blood samples for your lab tests with our mobile laboratory service at home and review the results together with our dietitian.
Yes. Our expert brings a body composition analyzer (BIA) and a measuring tape; the measurements are taken in your home and your nutrition plan is prepared based on them.

Nurse at Home

View the service
You can fill in the appointment form on our website, call our call center, which is open 24/7, or message us on WhatsApp. Our team gets back to you within 3 minutes on average, listens to your patient's situation and arranges a suitable nurse visit.
The fee for home healthcare is not fixed; it depends on the type of service, its duration and your address. One-off procedures such as injections, dressings or IV drips are planned per procedure, while 12- or 24-hour nursing services are planned according to duration. The scope of the service and the fee are clearly shared, based on your patient's needs, before anything begins; there are no co-payments or surprise extra charges.
The fee for patient care at home depends on whether care is hourly, daytime (12 hours) or live-in (24 hours), on the patient's care needs, and on the qualifications of the staff providing the service (a nurse or patient care staff). After listening to your needs, our team clearly shares the scope of the service and the fee before anything begins.
We work with private health insurers. If your policy covers home nursing services, we obtain the pre-approval from your insurance company; once it is approved, the service begins and no co-payment is charged. For chargeable procedures that your policy does not cover, we let you know the fee before the service starts.
This depends on the title of the staff member providing your care. Patient Care Staff (Caregiver): Yes. The patient's personal hygiene, bathing, diaper changes, repositioning and feeding are the main duties of care staff. Home Healthcare Nurse: Nurses focus on medical procedures (medication, IV drips, wound care). However, if you are receiving a "Care Nursing" service, they also take care of hygiene as part of medical care. At Curavita, we can put together mixed teams (Nurse + Care Staff) to meet both the medical and the hygiene needs of your patient.
Home healthcare covers many services you can receive without going to the hospital: doctor examinations; nursing services such as injections, IV drips, urinary catheter insertion and replacement, wound care and tracheostomy care; blood draws at home, urine tests and check-ups; accompanied transfer to an imaging center for MRI, X-ray and CT scans; physiotherapy, dietitian and psychologist support at home; and elderly and patient care.
Yes. In addition to your home, our team also comes to your office, your workplace or the hotel where you are staying in Istanbul. Simply state the address and a time that suits you on the request form; the service is provided under the same hygiene and safety rules at every address.
A good match between patient and caregiver can't always be achieved the first time; this is perfectly natural. When you tell us you are not satisfied with the staff member, we assess the situation together and arrange a new staff member as soon as possible, without interrupting care.
This is one of the boundaries that should be drawn most clearly when arranging the service. The primary and essential duty of professional patient care staff is the patient's health and comfort. Within this scope, airing the patient's room, making their bed, changing their personal clothing and preparing the patient's own meals and helping them eat are part of the job description. However, "housework" such as general cleaning of the home, window cleaning, cooking for other family members or ironing is outside the job description, because it would lower the quality of patient care and distract the caregiver. Our focus is your loved one's recovery.
We decide together on the staff member best suited to the patient's needs. The patient's level of care, communication needs (for example in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia, where communication is important), the preference for daytime or live-in care and the family's expectations are discussed in the initial consultation. We share the experience of the staff member we recommend with you.
When selecting staff, we check identity, references and professional documents; our healthcare staff work with personnel work certificates issued by the Provincial Health Directorate. Throughout the service, we review every piece of feedback you give about staff and make changes when necessary.
Care staff have limited authority to provide medical intervention. In an emergency such as loss of consciousness, shortness of breath, chest pain or a serious fall, our staff member first calls 112, stays with the patient following 112's instructions until the ambulance arrives, and keeps you informed.
Absolutely. The greatest advantage of private home care is its flexibility. You may only need care during the day from 09:00 to 18:00 while you are at work, only on weekends when you want to rest, or as visits of 2 hours each, 3 days a week, for your loved one's bathing and wound dressing needs. Curavita does not impose packages; it offers a modular service plan shaped entirely around your way of life and your loved one's needs.

Urinary Catheter Insertion at Home

View the service
Yes, it certainly can. Catheter insertion is a procedure that does not require a hospital setting but must always be carried out under sterile conditions. Curavita Evde Sağlık teams come to your home with all the sterile supplies needed (sterile gloves, antiseptic solution, sterile catheter kit) and carry out the procedure, so you don't need to go to the hospital. This protects the patient from the risk of hospital infection and preserves their privacy.
Inserting a urinary catheter (Foley catheter) is a medical intervention and, legally, should only be performed by doctors, nurses or health officers. If family members or people without medical training try to insert a catheter, it can cause permanent damage to the urinary tract (a urethral tear), bleeding and serious infections. All Curavita staff who perform this procedure are licensed nurses with specific training in it.
How long a catheter can stay in the body depends on the type of material used: latex (yellow) catheters should generally be replaced within 1 week (7 days) because of the risk of infection. Silicone catheters can stay in for up to 30 days (1 month), as they are more compatible with body tissue and less prone to bacterial colonization. At Curavita, we always recommend choosing a 100% silicone catheter for long-term use, for the patient's comfort and health.
An external catheter (condom catheter) is a non-invasive device that is fitted over the outside of the penis. The area is cleaned and dried, the condom-like sheath is rolled onto the penis, the outlet at its tip is connected to a urine bag, and it is usually secured with a hook-and-loop strap. This type of catheter is for male patients who have urinary incontinence but no problem emptying the bladder (no obstruction). Changing it every day is recommended for hygiene.
Holding urine for a long time is not recommended; the healthiest thing is to go to the toilet when you feel the urge. If you feel the urge but cannot pass urine, especially if there is pain and swelling in the lower abdomen, this condition (urinary retention) needs urgent assessment; call 112 without delay or go to the nearest emergency department. If no urine is draining into the bag of a patient with a catheter, the catheter may be blocked; call our team, and if there is pain, fever or a change in consciousness, call 112.
With a doctor's order, and if the patient's condition allows, an NG tube can be inserted at home by our nurse. The tube is passed through a nostril down into the stomach. Before feeding starts, the tube's position in the stomach is confirmed using the method specified by the doctor; measuring the pH of a sample drawn from the stomach contents is a common method, and an X-ray check may be requested if necessary. Listening for air sounds with a stethoscope is not a reliable method on its own. If coughing, shortness of breath or bluish discoloration occurs during feeding, stop the feed and call 112.
Because the bladder drains continuously when a catheter is in place, there should normally be no feeling of "fullness". However, during the first few hours or days after insertion, the patient may constantly feel as if they need to urinate, because the bladder muscles react to the catheter balloon (spasm). This "false sensation" is usually temporary. If it is accompanied by burning, pain or leakage, it may be a sign of infection, and you should be sure to consult your nurse.

Tracheostomy Care and Tube Change at Home

View the service
This depends entirely on the type of tube used. PVC tubes: usually every 3–4 weeks. Silicone tubes: can be used for 1 to 3 months. Silver tubes: long-lasting, but must be cleaned every day. A Curavita expert draws up a change schedule based on your doctor's recommendation and the type of tube, and calls you when the day comes.
During suctioning the patient feels some tickling and an urge to cough, but when it is done with the right technique, the procedure is not painful. Keeping the procedure to no longer than 10–15 seconds and advancing the catheter gently are essential for comfort.
Some modern tubes consist of two parts that fit "one inside the other." The inner part (inner cannula) is designed to be removed and cleaned. This part should be removed at least 2–3 times a day, cleaned with sterile water and special brushes, and put back in place. This prevents the main tube from becoming blocked.
With standard cuffed tubes, air does not reach the vocal cords, so the patient cannot speak. However, if the patient's condition allows, Curavita experts can, with the doctor's approval, trial a "speaking tube" or "speaking valve" to help the patient produce sounds again.

Wound Care and Dressing at Home

View the service
Most pressure ulcers can heal with the right treatment and regular care. In deep (stage 3–4) wounds the process takes a long time, and healing depends on the patient's general condition, nutrition and relieving the pressure on the area. Alongside dressing changes, the patient needs to be repositioned at regular intervals and needs a suitable air mattress and adequate nutrition. Your doctor sets the treatment plan; our nurse carries out wound care according to this plan.
This depends entirely on how much the wound is draining and the type of dressing used. Some modern wound dressings can stay on the wound for 3 days while healing continues, whereas infected and draining wounds may need a dressing change every day or even twice a day. Our expert will draw up a schedule for you at the first examination.
Vacuum-assisted (VAC) wound therapy is a method that can also be continued at home with portable devices. If your doctor has recommended this treatment, we will go over how the device is supplied and the dressing change plan together with you at the initial consultation.
Color changes in the foot (bluish or darkening skin), a persistent feeling of coldness, a bad smell and discharge are warning signs. If these signs are present, professional help should be sought without delay. With early intervention and proper wound care, the risk of amputation can largely be prevented.
Yes. In addition to your home, our team also comes to your office, your workplace or the hotel where you are staying in Istanbul. Simply state the address and a time that suits you on the request form; the service is provided under the same hygiene and safety rules at every address.

Imaging with Patient Transfer

View the service
The transfer is made in a patient transfer vehicle. This is not an ambulance service; for patients who need continuous medical monitoring during the journey or who are in an emergency, call 112. During the preliminary call, we assess together with you whether the patient is fit for transfer.
Our healthcare staff and companion staff accompany the patient; from leaving home to getting back, the patient is never left alone. If you wish, a family member can also be with the patient in the vehicle.
We book the appointment with the imaging center. All you need to do is send us your doctor's order and a time that suits you; we also let you know the center's preparation instructions along with the appointment.
When the report is ready, we send it to you; if you wish, we can also send it to the doctor following the patient. The time it takes to prepare the report varies depending on the type of scan and the imaging center.
Yes. Imaging examinations are performed on a doctor's order, which must state the area to be examined and the method to be used. If you don't have an order, a doctor's assessment can first be arranged through our doctor home visit service.
If you have a device such as a pacemaker, metal implant, prosthesis or insulin pump, be sure to mention it when the appointment is booked; if you feel uncomfortable in enclosed spaces, let us know in advance as well. For contrast-enhanced scans, fasting or a blood test showing kidney function may be required; we send you the imaging center's instructions along with the appointment.

Physiotherapy at Home

View the service
You can request physiotherapy at home by calling us, messaging us on WhatsApp or filling in the form on our website. Our team listens to your needs and, if available, your doctor's recommendation, and schedules the first assessment visit by our experienced physiotherapist on a day and at a time that suit you.
The fee for physiotherapy at home is determined by the scope of the treatment, the length of the sessions and the number of sessions. Sessions that require specialist skills and additional equipment, such as neurological rehabilitation, are planned differently from standard orthopedic sessions. After the first assessment, our physiotherapist shares the treatment plan and the fee openly with you.
Removing slippery rugs and cables from the path you will walk and setting aside a sturdy chair with armrests and no wheels for exercising is a good start. Choose shoes with non-slip soles and clothes that don't restrict movement, and don't eat a heavy meal right before the session. At the first visit, our physiotherapist also assesses your home for fall risk and suggests small adjustments if needed.
A standard physiotherapy session at home lasts 45 to 60 minutes on average. Depending on the patient's condition, this can be extended to up to 90 minutes based on manual therapy techniques, the use of electrotherapy devices and the intensity of the exercise program. Curavita's specialists optimize the session length for maximum efficiency based on the patient's fatigue threshold.
Yes. At the end of each session, your physiotherapist shows you the exercises to do on your own until the next visit and checks with you that you are doing them correctly. This home program keeps rehabilitation going between sessions. If you notice unusual tiredness, dizziness or pain during exercise, stop and let your physiotherapist know.

Psychologist at Home

The fee for a psychologist at home varies depending on the session length, the location and the type of therapy. We share the scope of the service and the fee clearly with you before the sessions begin; contact us for more information.
Online therapy takes place via a screen, while therapy at home involves face-to-face interaction. In terms of body language, eye contact and the direct transfer of energy, therapy at home provides exactly the same effect as a clinical setting, but without requiring you to leave your comfort zone.
Absolutely. All psychologists working with Curavita are professionals who hold the required diplomas and specialization certificates, have passed criminal record checks and have completed in-house training.
